kblfRecensione di Michele Lotta del CD At Home (KBLF Blues Web Magazine) Pierluigi Petricca, chitarrista e cantante abruzzese, è già noto ai bluesofili italiani per aver dato vita nel 2005 al Papaleg Acoustic Duo assieme a Marco Tinari (anch’egli chitarrista). I due hanno svolto una gran quantità di concerti in Italia ed all’estero (USA, Finlandia…) e realizzato due CD: “Railroad Blues” nel 2006 e “Back To Mississippi” nel 2008. Da veri bluesmen hanno suonato dappertutto, dalla strada ai centri sociali ed in buona parte dei blues festival italiani con nomi illustri del circuito internazionale. (altro…)

XXV Toruń Blues Meeting 21-22/11/2014. Before the last act we could see Pierluigi Petricca, our guest from Italy, who in a simple but beautiful way presented us songs of such masters as in between Muddy Waters. Although he used only electric guitar and a stompbox, he has impressed the audience. as other people I was wondering how is it possible to do such a music with such a simple set up – this performance was truly genius!

XXV Toruń Blues Meeting 21-22/11/2014. Pierluigi Petricca – big with his body and soul visitor from Italy has delighted everybody with his approach to acoustic blues supported by a DOBRO guitar. His songs prooved to be as good for big festivals as for little streets of town where he quite often performs incognito showing that blues is a music for everyone – not only for elites.

The title says what it’s all about… this is real Mississippi delta Blues. Pierluigi Petricca and Marco Tinari are two friends and these two Italian guys play this genre like the best. The album opens with ”I go back to Mississippi” and when listening to it you have automatically the reflex to consult the cover: “is this a song from Johnson? Or Hopkins?
